IT Specialist
Job Overview
The Information Technology Specialist oversees large scale projects regarding our inhouse data management system while handling time sensitive day-to-day IT issues that hinder our company productivity. This position must be able to diagnose and repair IT issues in a reasonably efficient manner.
Role of Information Technology Specialist
The role of the Information Technology Specialist is to handle all the company’s internal hardware and software issues to keep our company’s technology running smoothly. Once this position is trained by our former Information Technology Specialist, they work independently with some oversight to ensure the company’s IT needs are handled effectively.

Job Responsibilities:
- Design, configure, and oversee maintenance of the Network, Hardware, and Software.
- Support end users and troubleshoot problems on networked PCs
- Maintain network and system security.
- Administer servers, desktop computers, printers, routers, switches, firewalls, phones, smartphones, software deployment, security updates and patches.
- Recommend, plan and implement system upgrades.
- Administer Office 365 applications
- System/Information Backup and redundancy
- Develop/Maintain our in-house relational database applications and software
Skill and Qualifications:
- Must have in-depth knowledge of Windows networks and systems, Microsoft Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policies
- Must have knowledge of firewalls and network security
- Must have relational database programming skills
- Must have very good organizational skills
- Must be detail oriented
- Must be able to meet deadlines
- Must be team oriented but able to work independently
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment
- Must have strong interpersonal skills
- Must have excellent written and oral communication skills
